  • Picked me up from the hotel exactly on time, and after a short bus change at the office we drove off. A 10 minutes stop at the golden bridge observation point and then directly to Muir. We had 90 minutes there. I think an extra 30 minutes can be helpful in order to hear the ranger 15 minutes explanations and to walk the full circular walk up to the forth bridge. The nonstop explanations from Mike (?) the driver where very interesting, informative and fun. we were back in town at the time promised. The woods are very impresive and buitiful.
  • Great... Tour bus driver John was excellent!!! He was very knowledgable and informative. John was able to clearly and professionaly verbalized many points of interest. The park was a little busy the day we went but other than that it was an overal amazing experience for myself and my son. Would recommend to anyone for the price.
  • Bus Driver guide was awesome and the woods were gorgeous. Had enough time to explore the path a little bit and took lots of pictures.
  • Very good. Pity we could not leave the bus in Sausalito.
  • My wife, daughter and I had a great experience with GuideYou on the Muir Woods Tour. Although we planned to reach the GuideYou offices on time, we got delayed by a few minutes. We received a friendly call and our driver waited patiently for us. Once we were in the bus, he gave us a running commentary on the different types of trees we would see in Muir Woods - he shared knowledge of superior quality; and kept us engrossed throughout the ride to the location. A most memorable afternoon!
  • Beautiful area with a high qualified guide...
  • Great tour but driver talks too much. Although I agree with his political statements, I can see where he would offend others
  • It was AWESOME!!!!! tour. The tour guide was great h was so GREAT!! I will definitely book with the Bay City Guide again when I visit San Francisco next year. Thank You Katherine
  • Hi there, I thoroughly enjoyed the tour. I was collected on time at my hotel by our drive, George, who was polite and courteous. He gave a great commentary on some of the major sights of San Fran on the way to the woods, and also translated into Spanish for 2 other passengers. The woods themselves are literally breathtaking. It's a little haven away from the craziness of the city. I loved the peace and tranquillity in some parts of the woods and the trees themselves are just beautiful. The paths are easy to walk and are well maintained. I wish I had more time to explore. I've attached a photo, however it doesn't really do the woods justice! I highly recommend taking this tour, one of the best parts of my stay in San Fran
  • Great tour. Beautiful nature.
  • Great trip. Our guide/driver was excellent. Would recommend to all that love nature and a nice walk at a reasonable pace.
  • We had a great time on this tour!! Muir Woods was beautiful and our tour guide was polite, friendly and informational. I would highly recommend this tour. :)
  • Our guide was outstanding. Great value and great tour.
  • A little gem of a place outside of the bustling city of San Fran. The woods are quiet and tranquil, the trees themselves graceful and majestic. We had a lovely walk through these woods and were just wowed by them. The tour was also managed expertly and efficiently and the bus driver extremely knowledgeable, friendly and entertaining!
  • Lovely tour. Muir woods is amazing and awe inspiring. Felt we had just the right amount of time to explore the woods. Enjoyed stopping at the Golden Gate bridge and being dropped off in Sausalito. Bus was comfortable.
  • 5 stars This was the best tour guide I have ever been with. 110% effort. I learned more about CA than any book ever wrote. Thank you Randy and Patti White
  • It was all good. Thanks
  • good company, very organized and polite people, nothing went wrong, they were on time to pick me up in the hostel, worth visiting muir woods, very beautiful forest...after this tour you can even spend time in fisherman's wharf
  • This was well worth the money and time. The bus driver 34 years driving this tour was very knowledgeable and had a great demeanor. The only wish I had was for more time to look around. I highly recommend this tour, the best of any of the ones we did in San Francisco
  • Excellent Tour at an excellent price
  • The tour guide (Bob) was very pleasant and knowledgeable.
  • The tour guide was very knowledgeable about the area, courteous and accommodating. He provided much information about San Francisco, Sausalito and Muir Woods. I opted to return by bus, so was not able to walk around Sausalito, which would have been nice - and the only drawback to the tour.
  • I don't usually enjoy guided trips. The last one we took in Hawaii was a total disaster, so we were pleasantly surprised by the knowledge of our bus driver/guide, and appreciated the time that we were allotted to enjoy the Woods as well as the Golden Gate Bridge, and still avoid the worst of the traffic. I would certainly recommend to SFO's visitors.
  • Yes, it's the best tour ever. The tour guides are very friendly and will accommodate any questions. Will take this tour again and your offers are great!
  • The tour was well arranged and the staff at 'Tower Tours' were helpful. They even arranged a special conveyance from downtown to our hotel when we turned up a bit late for our drop off to the hotel. The driver of the Muirwood bus did a good job as guide also.
  • Excellent value and entertaining/knowledgeable tour guide/driver.
  • Just right! Arrangements and all timings were fine. The driver was safe, courteous, knowledgable, articulate, neat and humorous. Thank you.
  • It was a great experience! was polite, helpful, gave me detailed instructions on contacting the tour company directly for confirmation/pickup instructions.
  • My wife and I enjoyed this tour. Our driver/guide, James, was very knowledgeable and very easy on the ear.
  • Great tour with a great and entertaining tourguide! Would do it again on a next visit!
  • Aaron is a real asset to your company. He is a font of information and has a great sense of humor! He made the tour interesting and fun. We liked him so much, we doubled the tip we had planned on giving him. I would recommend your company to anyone who asks!
  • great tour. tour guide was informative. It's just a long trip from San Fransisco.
  • We had such a great time on this tour. Excellent value, too. Joe was an outstanding tour guide. I highly recommend this tour.
  • We were so fortunate to have George as our guide. I was stunned at all his knowledge. And he was SO sweet the whole time. Captivating would be a one worder I would use to describe his tour. Honestly the woods were great, but, in part because he made them great with all the knowledge, history & stories. I would highly recommend this tour. It was SO worth every penny.
  • The trip to Muir Woods and Sausalito was fantastic. I don't remember the name of the drive who picked us up at the hotel, but he was so nice. For the trip to Muir Woods, Gordon was our driver and he was the BEST!!!! He made the trip fun, interesting and went out of his way to make our experience fun and educational. Muir Woods is truly a national treasure. We would do it again anytime. I will highly recommend this to any of my friends going to San Francisco.
  • A nice tour for a change from the hustle of San Francisco. Good Tour Guide and it was a beautiful day and the walk through the woods was relaxing.
  • Our experience was wonderful. The tour driver was great and informative. Thanks for a great tour.
  • Thoroughly enjoyed our trip, our driver was very personable and knowledgeable. Redwoods, of course, beyond fabulous
  • 5 stars! Jerry was great: knowldegable & enthusiastic!
  • Very well organized, great bus driver/guide, beautiful sites. I'd recommend this tour.
  • Try to get John as the tour guide, he is great!
  • This was a very interesting trip. Great ride with a lot of information. Would recommend this to everyone.
  • Loved Muir Woods!
  • Very knowledgeable driver. We had a great time! We had enough time to walk a nice trail. Left the tour at Sausalito and went to the recommended Hamburger. It was pretty good! Ferry back to Fishermanswharf was beautiful also! Definitely recommend!
  • Great guide and interesting facts
  • This was THE best thing I did on my visit to San Francisco. The forest itself is unbelieveable, but add to that the vast knowledge of our driver and the door-to-door hotel pick-up service. A great value -- I got more than my money's worth. Thank you!
  • Great tour! Muir Woods is absolutely breathtaking and Sausalito is a great village on the bay. The stores are wonderful and the views of the bay are spectacular.
  • We only had 36 hours in San Francisco and took this in conjunction with a City Tour, and thoroughly enjoyed both tours whuch gave us a quick introduction to your lovely city and surrounds. Thoroughly recommend to other vistors.
  • The tour guide was SO knowledgable and very friendly. He talked the entire ride there and back! I don't remember his name (he had white long hair). Muir woods was beautiful and it was nice to ride through Sausalito. I would suggest having maybe an hour stop in Sausalito to accompany the trip.
  • We had a great time and our driver Charles (I think) was worth his weight in gold. A great last day in San Francisco.'Sue
  • Loved it. The Guide, John, was excellent and full of information and so entertaining. The trip to Muir Woods in the mini-bus was super, especially over the Golden Gate Bridge. The time allowed in the park is adequate to do a short walk and admire the wondrously tall Redwoods. We would have liked a little more time, but I guess on a day trip only so much time is allocated. On the drive to Sausalito John was entertaining, but also provided interesting facts and figures. We left the tour there to spend more time in Sausalito and took the ferry back to SF at our leisure. To summarise, yes, its a very good trip to do, to see and hear some of nature, and its so close to the city!
  • The guide was excellent and the place was wonderfull. Its been a very pleaseant trip.
  • This tour was worth the money. Woods are wonderful and trip to Sausalito great. We stopped on the Golden Gate for pics too. That was a nice bonus! Highly recommended way to spend an afternoon.
  • This is my third time to visit Muir Woods and Sausalito. And every time I have the privilege to repeat the experience I get more and more admired. The tour was very well guided by an enthusiastic, educated and well informed person. He went far away to help each of the tourists to their final destination and assisted those willing to return by the Bay Ferry. Sausalito is an experience by itself. It is a dream place located in one that is possible one of the best panoramas in the world. I wouldnt doubt one second to repeat this and more tours with Guide From Buenos Aires, Argentina
  • Lots of great background info and fun!
  • great time, great tour guide!
  • My husband and I enjoyed the redwood forest a lot. We'd want to do it again when we visit next year year. We told our friends about it and they all want to go with us next time. The tour bus driver was excellent. He was funny and kept us entertained. Over all, it was highlight of our trip in San Francisco.
  • Great trip and fab guide would recommend.
  • I had the most wonderful time on this tour! Thank you, thank you, thank you!
  • Our driver was amazing!! I forget his name but he had long hair and is a runner. He was knowledgeable and very entertaining. He even let us have 15 extra minutes in the woods which I was very happy about because seeing the Redwoods was the most exciting part of my whole trip in SF.
  • Great tour. I picked this tour because they allowed for the most time in the park, 90 minutes.
  • I was great to be in nature. The tour guide, Richard, was very informative to and from the site. The ride is a little nerve racking with such a big bus on winding roads but it becomes part of the whole experience.
  • that's great. Recomended
  • Almost perfect. Perhaps because we spend 1,5 hours in Muir Woods, the "sausalito tour" was very short. 10 minutes is not enough. Nevertheless, doesn't matter. Just the experience of walk across the forest of redwoods pays the trip. Sausalito it's nice, but it's not necesary.
  • Wonderful experience. The driver who picked us up from the hotel and the driver who drove us to Muir Woods were very good. The tour itself was very informative and enjoyable. thank you
  • Great experience! Our guide, Harold, provided a lot of really interesting information, and his voice sounds like Garrison Keillor. Such beautiful, majestic, serene redwood trees. The only thing I would change is to give me a little more time with them. 1.25 hours sounded like it would be long enough, but it wasn't!
  • Totally worth it! I was very impressed with the service and professionalism. Muir woods was amazing! I would highly recommend it to get out of San Francisco for a nice day trip.
  • Our Muir Woods trip was wonderful. The guide was very knowledgeable about the history of the area. The park was beautiful and we had enough time for a short hike and lunch. We even stopped at the Golden Gate Bridge for pictures. I highly recommend this trip!
  • The tour was an excellent experience. Although the English. Not speak, we had a lot of fun to the stories and explanations of the tour leader / any driver. On this opportunity to thank you. Fam Mischnik with granddaughter
  • We enjoyed our tour of Muir Woods and Sausalito Waterfront. Our tour guide made the trip fun with lots of facts about San Francisco and the surrounding area. The game we played on the way back was fun also. The only thing I would change is to have 2 hours in the woods instead of 1 1/2 hours.
  • We had an excellent time, our driver Mr. Lee was awesome. He was very informative and told stories and pointed out locations from films, celebrity homes, etc. Muir woods and Sausalito were beautiful. This was a good way to see the sites and go places with out having to rent a car and try to drive in San Francisco. Had a great time!
  • great experience!
  • We thoroughly enjoyed our tour of Muir Woods and Sausalito. The pick up was prompt and our driver guide was very informative and friendly. the only ting that would have improved our experience would have been if we had been pricked up from our own hotel (Hotel Drisco on Pacific Avenue).
  • Excellent tour - the Woods are beautiful - we had plenty of time to look around and tour guide Curly was a great character and very knowledgeable about the area. Recommended.
  • What a fabulous tour. Our guide was charming, knowledgeable, charasmatic & funny. Muir woods was beautiful. My boyfriend proposed to me during the tour when I stopped & commented on a spectacular site in the woods. I was taken by surprise. It was very romantic. was efficient in booking the tour & provided an opportunity for great memories that will not be forgotten. Thank you. Best Wishes, Tina from Philadelphia.
  • Was a very enjoyable experience visiting the Muir Woods. I would recommend this company as your tour guides! I love Bay City Guides maps...have used them on many occasions.
  • Great tour of Muir Woods and Sausalito. Out tour guide Doug was extremely knowledgeable and helpful with tips that only a local would know. I wish we could have stayed longer in Muir Woods.
  • The tour was extremely enjoyable and our tour guide was an absolute blast! He was extremely knowledgeable and made the experience so much fun for us! Thank you for a spectacular San Francisco experience.
  • Tour Guide was great. Tour was good though i thought there was a stop and wander in Sausalito. Muir Woods was one of the most awe inspiring locations i have ever visited in North America and found myself (after walking around for an hour) just sitting at on a bench and looking at the trees and contemplating life. Hard to explain unless you go yourself. Would recommend this trip, i'd go again and take more time.
  • Great tour, perfect length of time. Well worth the money.
  • This tour was wonderful. The driver was well informed, courteous, very personable and a safe driver. The coach was spacious and comfortable. The drive to Muir Woods and back through Sausalito was beautiful, but the giant redwoods themselves were breathtaking and the national park was well designed and maintained with many opportunities to sit and rest on the trail, a nice cafe and gift shop and clean restrooms. A wonderful trip that I will never forget! Thank you. Rebecca Craig, Florida
  • Tour was very nice. Enjoyed Muir woods & the guide was very nice & well informed.
  • Hi !! My daughter [20 yrs] and I LOVED this tour and our guide was EXCELLENT!! He was very well-informed and very funny, making the trip there and back go quickly. The trip is also a "quick" one if you only have a short day. Definitely spend extra time in Sausalito and take the ferry back!!
  • I love this tour and the tour guide who is very entertaining yet knowledgeable to inform tourists about the places we are going. Muirs Wood, Sausalito. History, some interesting stories. Nature, plants. The only drawback is limited time. Can't possibly walk all the bridges within one hour and 10min in Muirs Wood. Probably more time. The same with sausalito. Noon time is lunch time, so you have to eat which will take almost 45mins then time is up to go. No chance to go shopping. I wonder whether there will be tour to Mt Tamp? Would like to go with tour too.
  • Tyrone (sp?) was the BEST tour guide we had while we were in the US! This was a good few hours in Muir Woods and Sausalito.
  • Really fun! Tour infor informative and funny. Another 30 minutes at Muir Woods would have ben helpful. Stop in Sausalito and take the ferry back. It's a gorgeous ride.
  • miur woods was great! loved sausilto. The tour guide was fun and informative. this is my favourite picture of the Muir woods.
  • Muir woods is unbelievable, I knew I would be amazed but yet it managed to exceed my wildest expectations. The tour itself was very good, we got a very knowledgable and entertaining tour guide. Will definitely repeat the next time I'm in San Francisco.
  • We appreciated the on time pickup and drop off times of our tour as the location was very near our cruise ship and pier. The driver was very knowledgeable of Muir Woods and Sausalito.
  • Muir Woods is an impressive sight with Redwood trees standing as tall as 200ft. Nice and relaxing tree 'talk walk', with plenty of picture taking. We did the tour which provided us more than enough time to walk the main trail. The kids enjoyed the trip and the trail walk/talk as well.
  • The guide was really informative. Thanks.
  • Fantastic tour. The woods are spectacular. Driver/tour guide was brilliant (sorry can't remember his name)
  • This was a nice way to see Muir Woods. Some folks think an hour and 15 minutes is too short, but I felt it was fine. The pick up at the hotel was on time and convenient. The pick up driver gave us a "tour" of the route to the Beach St HQ. It gave me good ideas for dinner and places for coffee. The check-in was efficient and we were on our way with a nice driver/ride guide (Lynn) in a clean comfortable small bus. He had interesting info on the creation of the park and the land around it. He stopped at the Fort for pictures of the bridge on the way back. Because the Muir Woods doesn't have a lot of information on the trees and no rangers unless you're lucky to see them, I would have liked more information on the biology of the trees, but I also like the Science Channel.
  • Wonderful and affordable tour experience. Our driver for the tour, was also the one who came to the hotel and picked us up. He was fantastic. He joked with us and provided us with very interesting information about the local area the whole time we traveled to and from Muir Woods. Not to mention he didn't race through the curvy mountain roads like some of the other buses we saw going to and from Muir Woods. My gf and I left the tour at Sausalito to take the Blue & Gold Ferry back to SF. I highly recommend this tour for everyone visiting the SF Bay area.
  • The tour was fantastic despite the poor weather San Fran was experiencing that week. While I wish we had more time to roam the Muir Woods, everything was timely and the woods themselves are gorgeous. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone visiting San Fran.
  • We enjoyed the tour very much. The drivers were courteous and interesting. It was described as 3.5 hours, and we were on buses from 1pm to 7pm (to and from Union Square). Traffic does slow down the travel.
    Response from the Team
The free hotel pickup and drop off does add some transit time to the front end and backend of the 3.5 hour tour but most guests find this preferable to the expense of a taxi.
  • We had a great time on the tour; Muir Woods are beautiful and it is now my ambition to move to Sausalito one day! Particular praise should go to our tour guide for the day who was absolutely fantastic and really made the day with his charm, wit and outstanding knowledge.
  • Redwoods were impressive,walking trail exceptional...but short
  • We had a lovely time, thanks. And particularly appreciated being left alone in the woods, with plenty of time just to wander. Decent bus. Good guide. Thanks.
  • Guide-driver was knowledgeable of his business. Excellent tour!
  • Muir Woods was awesome.
  • Super experience, as the redwoods are simply stunning. A couple of minor annoyances stopped this being a 5 star experience, however: - we were seated right at the front of the small bus, and were under the speaker and the audio commentary (though entertaining) was DEAFENINGLY LOUD. Seriously, it felt like our ears were ringing when we disembarked. We asked the driver to wind it back a bit but he seemed reluctant to turn it down too far for risk of not being heard in the back - the ferry back is surprisingly costly at $9.75 and you're supposed to be able to have the option of a return trip by ferry (at a reduced rate) - this was not available for us Sausalito is a bit touristy and boring/noveau riche, but the ferry ride back is pretty cool.
  • Suggest to increase time up to at least two hours for this park as 1,5 makes you to be in big hurry in order to have close watch and make fotoes. It was really good tour!
  • A really worthwhile tour with appropriate and informative commentary. To provide a more exploratory journey into the forest perhaps an extra hour could be written into the tour schedule but still have time for a drive through of Sausalito. Definitely recommend this tour.
  • A great tour of the woods!! Our driver was so nice and very knowlegeable. Although we only spent about a 1/2 hour in Sausalito, after the driver explained to us why, I understood. Would use Guide You tours again. Thanks for the service of picking us up and dropping us off at our hotel.
  • The guide was good. I enjoyed the tour , just a little dispointed in that by the way it was written I along with others thought we would stop in Sausalito for a little while as opposed to it just being a drive thru and drop off point.
    Response from the Team
Thanks for your review. After much customer feedback the tour was altered this year so guests had more time in Muir Woods. The option to return by ferry is intended to allow for more time in Sausalito.
  • Muir Woods was really great our driver was funny albeit a bit corny but funny and poetic the only quibble i have is that as i wasn't able to stop in Sausalito to catch the ferry back due to the fact i was leaving that night is that perhaps at least we could have made a stop not for just the ferry goers but a chance for souvenirs and a few quick pictures of the beautiful views.
  • I feel that this was a bit rushed. We were practically speed walking to try to get to the bus on time. The same with Sausalito. If you want to do this, try a longer time frame so that you are not speed walking the whole entire time and so that you actually get to enjoy your time. Both places were very nice. The routes were scenic. The guide was nice, funny, and took us to an amazing spot where we were able to take an awesome picture with the Golden Gate bridge.
  • Our driver Curly was excellent with info and quite humorous - did a great job! I had plenty of time to see what I wanted, and the optional ferry back to the Wharf was perfect!
  • Loved the tour! Think I learned more about redwoods and Sausalito than I had learned from living in Marin County for 5 years in the 60's. Highly recommend this tour-great picture opportunity.
  • The tour was good-- it was a minibus, which was much nicer than a large tour bus, and the tourguide engaging and full of facts (even though he was fairly new and the facts seemed more disjointed and memorized than knowledge) The tour left barely enough time to enjoy Muir Woods or Sausalito- I recommend staying in Sausalito longer and taking a ferry back. It's a quick overview, but not a real discovery. Also, the pick-up from hotels to then wait in line at the tour office again was a bit of a pain.
  • We enjoyed our trip very much. Our guide, Rich?, was very informative and cordial. I would have liked another 1/2 hr. at Muir Woods. Sausalito was kind of boring. We drove around, had a small lunch, and saw some homes. Other than taking a great picture of the Golden Gate Bridge, I'm not so sure I would say it was worth the $$$.
  • Great experience however the time in Sausalito was too short. I loved walking through the woods and looking at the giant red wood trees. I would have loved to spend more time exploring Sausalito, I felt the time there was too short. Despite the short time in Sausalito, I enjoyed the tour and would recommend it to others.
    Response from the Team
Hi Nadia, Thank you for offering this feedback. Guests who wish to explore Sausalito for an extended time should consider taking the ferry back.
  • This was an awesome tour of Muir Woods. The redwoods themselves were awe-inspiring in many ways, while exploring Sausalito was a fun, short experience. Our tour guide himself was literally the best guide I have ever had on a trip. Charles Hightower cannot be recommended highly enough, both as a very knowledgeable guide on the tour areas, but also as an extremely, personable, warm and hilarious guy. We were both smiling and laughing throughout our entire ride experience. Thanks for a great tour.
  • Our Driver was the best and very, very knowledgeable!
  • great tour next time need more time would like a hop on hop off bus to much to see and just not enough time.
    Response from the Team
The Muir Woods Tour/Sausalito tour allows guests to take in the Park highlights. GuideYou also offers a Muir Woods/Wine Tour with extended time in the woods.
  • We had a wonderful time on this tour. It was the highlight of our time in San Francisco. I would advise everyone to squeeze this into your itenerary. We had a wonderful tour guide and outstanding trip. Muir Woods is just spectacular and the quaint town of Sausalito is just peaceful. Highly recommended!!!
  • August 4 2011 i turned 21 when to live it up in San Francscio ..I loved the tour i took i had never been anywhere and to have experinced things the way i did when i was there, i would love to go back and take a few more tours. it was fast and fun and there was plenty of room in the tour bus. the driver was super friendly and informative about where we were going and what we would be doing. At the muir woods i had a great time seeing these huge trees i have never seen befor and for me working in the field of trees it was a great experience im really glad i took this tour i would recomend it and have recommend for people to do when they head up to San Francisco the seniery was awsome i almost didnt want to leave but i knew we were going to head to another awsome place and we did we went to Sausalito which was nice but im out doors kind of girl so it was alright.. over all i had a GREAT TIME and would love to go back some day when i can save up some more cash :) HAVE FUN EVERYONE
  • Enjoyed the tour but the temperature on the bus was quite uncomfortable, very warm. The driver was fabulous, George, he did a great job.
    Response from the Team
Kathryn, Thanks for your feedback. The drivers will usually adjust the temperature if a guest asks.
  • Super! Tour was great!
  • The scenery at Muir Woods was quite a site to see. I think it would be favorable to share the weather conditions. While I was dressed comfortably in polar fleece, many others were under dressed and very cold. Can a blurb be added to the tour description? However, I wished we had more time to walk around and had seen more of Sausalito. I felt like we just didn't have enough time there. Our tour guide was okay. He seemed to have a chip on his shoulder about something. He shared a story about knowing Robin Williams when they were younger. I don't know if it was his intent or not, but he sounded bitter when he told the story.
    Response from the Team
Anita, Thanks for reminding visitors to bring a jacket. We recommend dressing in layers - the SF Bay Area is known for its "climatic diversity".
  • I was to be collected at my hotel 1pm on the day of the tour. I sat in the lobby till 1.20pm until i received a call from my son to say that the bus had called for me but that i had missed it. The only way that i can explain this was that i was on my way down from my room when they called at the hotel, all i can say is that they did not wait very long or try very hard to locate me. I told the porter when i came down that i was waiting to be collected and he did not mention anyone looking for me.Because of this i then had to get a cab which cost me $12 on top of what i paid for the tour. However the tour itself was very enjoyable and the driver/guide was excellent. He gave us plenty of information and history about Muir Woods and Sausalito . Apart from the mishap at the beginning of the tour i would book a trip with the company when i hopefully return to San Francisco next year. Regards Anne O'Connor
    Response from the Team
Anne, Sorry to hear your pick up didn't go smoothly. Fortunately this doesn't happen frequently. But despite the mishap it sounds like you really enjoyed the tour. If you are waiting longer than a few minutes past your designated pick up time, we recommend that you call the tour operator. The bus is usually still in the area and can swing back by to pick up guests.
  • The trips to Muir Woods, Giant Redwoods and Sausalito Tour was very good. The tour guide was funny and informative. The trip was comfortable and safe, as well. Learned a lot that we would not have known if we had not gone on the tour. Good experience.
  • We had a wonderful tour and a fantastic tour guide who shared a lot of history of the area for us. The driver did a great job, especially around all the bicyclists. Thanks for a great time.
  • The tour was excellent, well worth the money. Our guide Silvio was the best - very knowledgeable and incredibly entertaining. We would do it again!
  • Enjoyed our tour but was very disappointed in that our time was cut so short in Sausalito... didn't even have time to explore... Too bad as that was what I was really looking forward to.
    Response from the Team
Lee, Your feedback is valuable. For more time in Sausalito guests should consider taking the ferry back to San Francisco. Not only is there more time for exploring the town (which really is charming) but the ferry ride is relaxing and scenic as well.
  • Enjoyed the Muir Woods tour, but not enough time in Sausalito.
    Response from the Team
David, Thanks for your feedback. Taking the ferry back from Sausalito (rather than the bus) is a great option as this allows guests more time on their own for shopping, dining and picture taking.
  • Second time we have taken the Muir Woods tour. Always a great experience.
  • Our Tour Guide way Tyrel, (sorry if I spelled your name wrong!) and he was wonderful! Gave us great information on the bus ride, and did a good job of keeping things fun with his stories. He did a fabulous job! Would definitely recommend this tour to others!
  • The tour guide Lee was great, the bus was clean and the seats comfortable,,,but the length of time spent in Muir Woods was simply to short. I would recommend that part of the trip be at least 3 hours. charge more for it and it would be worth it.
    Response from the Team
Glad you enjoyed the tour. Muir Woods is a spectacular National Monument with over 500 acres of forest. The Muir Woods portion of this tour is intended to cover the basic highlights. However we do offer other Muir Woods tours which allow for more time to explore the giant redwoods.
  • Thought the tour was great and our tour guide was not only knowledgeable but entertaining. Muir woods was beautiful and the trails were just the right length for us. Sausalito was so nice we opted to take the ferry back instead of the bus so that we could enjoy a relaxing diner overlooking the water.
  • The Muir Woods and Sausalito Tour was excellent, tour guide knowledgeable and he allowed time at various stops for camera shots.
  • The tour was really informative ! got to See alot, and had a wonderful time, the tour instructor was very nice, knew alot, and had a good radio voice. I would definitely go on another tour with this company. The price is reasonable.
  • Thank you for the wonderful tour of the woods, and the great tour guide. Sausalito was only so-so. Consider dropping the Sausalito part! Thanks, and Happy 2012, John and Mika
  • Very helpful and informative driver who provided a useful commentary and supportive service throughout. Muir Woods fantastic, Sausalito a bit of a waste of time.
  • The woods are lovely, a little longer would be good, but thoroughly enjoyed! The burger bar in Sausalito was top notch!
  • It was good, BUT I thihk that the guide must go with the group inside the park giving explanations, and not send them alone.
    Response from the Team
Thanks for your feedback. Private tour guides are only allowed up to the entrance of the park. This is to ensure that multiple tour guides are not talking over each other and disrupting the peaceful enjoyment of all guests. However once inside the park there is a visitors center are rangers available to answer questions.
  • This was such a great tour. Definitely worth the money. The tour guide was funny and knowledgeable as well as a good driver. I only wish the tour lasted longer!
  • It was great Pick up from Hotel on time and great commentary delivered by guide during tour. Perhaps another half an hour in Sausalito before returning,we discovered that we had missed half the town as it was around the bend in the road and not visible until driving out back to Frisco. All in all, a great tour that was mainly "FOG free"and my wife and I had a fantastic day. Brian and Elonora Barrett, Sancrox, NSW Australia.
  • Very informative tour. Mr. Hightower was extremely knowledgeable and made it a lot of fun. Comfortable ride and beautiful scenery. Thanks for a rewarding vacation.
  • The guide was terrible. He had a strong Texan accent (hard to understand). He only talked about his life (how depress he was when his wife died, how good his family meeting was, etc) and didn't talk about Muir or Sausalito!
  • Our tour was wonderful! From the driver who picked us up at our hotel to the tour bus driver/guide, everyone was friendly and knowledgeable. We were celebrating our 40th anniversary the day we went and it truly was a great, memorable day!
  • Muir wood is amazingly beautiful, we are so glad we took the tour. Our tour guide was a blast, very professional and also very entertaining, we had a really fun day.
  • The trip was well worth it. It was interesting and the guide was knowledgable and accomodating. I would definitely recommend this trip. The only thing I would change is to maybe make it little longer. An hour went by very quickly at Muir Woods.
  • Really great day out and an excellent and informative tour guide but we could have done with 1/2 an hour longer in the woods and Sausalito should have been at least 2 - 3 hours long
  • It was a great trip, but the time in Muir Woods was a little too short. There was no "tour" of Sausalito as such. Basically we were shown where to go to the toilet and where to meet the bus.
    Response from the Team
Thanks for your feedback. Sausalito is a small town and the stop there is for personal time to shop and take some pictures of the views. Some guests prefer stay longer in Sausalito and taking the ferry back to SF is a great option to extend the visit.
  • Excelllent tour with great driver/guide. We really enjoyed this. thank you.
  • The process of ordering tickets and checking in was smooth and simple. Our guide was very good, knowledgeable, and interesting to listen to. my only regret is the amount of time we had in muir woods. I would have liked much longer than an hour. Billi Chapman
  • We had a great trip to the Muir Woods and Sausalito. Our tour guide Tyrell, or T as we called him was a great tour guide! He was so entertaining and knew so many things about the area. We are from Alberta, Canada. Below is a picture of "T" skipping rope just before our trip. He was great and I would highly recommend him and the Guideyou tour to anybody who was interested in doing a tour of the Muir Woods and Sausalito. Great experience!!
